1961 was a year of first and ends for Chevrolet. The Trim Level SS is introduced on the Impala and the rest is history As for the last 1961 would be the last year for the Nomad name after only 4 years since the end of production of the two door Nomad, Chevrolet would call it quits and stop production of the Nomad nameplate.
